Disclosure - You & Me (Flume Remix)

Not sure how to exactly classify this track, and that's probably why I like it so much! Flume dropped this remix to Disclosure's "You and Me" a few weeks back and it's definitely a track that has depth. A good balance between melodic beauty and synthy bass that innovates and transforms the idea of an orchestra! Check it out below and enjoy.

Who is Hunter Siegel you may ask? He is the latest addition to the Toronto music scene and he's starting things off with a bang! And he doesn't come without experience. Hunter Siegel has been in the music industry for many years, notably as one half of the very popular DJ/Production duo The Killabits, who we have featured many times before. Kid MK Presents: The iPod Shuffle Vol. 2

Here we go again with Volume 2 of The iPod Shuffle courtesy of Toronto favourite, Kid MK! In case you aren't up to date on what The iPod shuffle is, it's a mix that contains 5 songs from 10 different people's iPod's after they have pressed shuffle. It's a daunting task if you ask me because after all, Kid MK has no control over what is selected, however he seems to know exactly what he's doing. This mix is amazing! It's a combination of rap, hip-hop, electronic, rock and pop music! And everything comes together seamlessly. A$AP Rocky - Wild for the Night (Dog Blood Remix)

'Wild for the Night' is a single by A$AP Rocky featuring Skrillex, a track many of you probably already know, and just recently a remix by Dog Blood (Skrillex and Boys Noize) was dropped during Skrillex's BBC Radio 1 set. It definitely takes the song in a totally new direction and it sounds filthy! Birdy Nam Nam plays a big part in the production of the original track and I can't seem to get enough of it.

Skrillex - Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 (June 2013)

Sonny Moore, AKA Skrillex did a brand new Esseential Mix for BBC Radio 1 yesterday and as always, it's killer! He dropped a lot of new material and I can't wait for  it to be released including tracks from Dog Blood (Skrillex and Boys Noize) Knife Party, AC Slater, Alvin Risk and Skrillex himself. It seems Skrillex is always innovating his sound and trying to reinvent himself which is, in my opinion, what has kept him relevant over the past few years! A little bit off the beaten trail for Social Talk, however, Still Roxanne by The Living Satellites is an amazing mashup/cover the band has just released and it is accompanied by a captivating music video to go along with it. Still Roxanne, released through SFA Records is the band's first single in a while and again, they've upped the ante. Not to mention the video, which was directed, filmed & edited by Adam Madrzyk, looks amazing and couldn't fit the song better. Exclusive Interview: Reid Stefan (NY)

As many of you already know, Reid Stefan has to be one of my favourite Producers to grace the EDM scene in the past few years! His dedication to the music industry shows that with time, hard work,  and true talent, success is possible. I began following Reid on Facebook when he had just 493 likes and now with his new page (formerly DJ Reidiculous) he has almost 30,000 likes and a massive following of fans! His unique sound coupled with consistency has been a huge contribution to his success, in my opinion. Reid Stefan graciously accepted the offer to do another interview with Social Talk and I'm very happy to be sharing it with you all (check out the first one here). 1.  How are you?

I’m doing very well! Super busy between all my shows and remix projects.

2.  What has been going on in the world of Reid Stefan the last few months?

Lots and lots of music production, trying to prepare as many original songs in between my remix projects.

3.  Tell us about your Las Vegas Residency.

The Vegas residency came about through my manager who had been spinning at Rehab for the past couple years. He convinced them to let me on for an opening set, and they ended up liking my show and giving me a once a month residency!

Pleasurekraft - Tarantula (Damn Kids Remix)

Love the original, love this remix. Damn Kids did an amazing job sampling 'Tarantula' by Pleasurekraft on his latest remix. This track is the perfect combination of the original brought together with new sounds bringing a whole new vibe to the song. With a mesmerizing opening, the song flows perfect top to bottom. I may have found a new favourite in Damn Kids. But for now, sit back, relax and turn those speakers UP! Enjoy!

Sunday FunDAY: Justin Timberlake - Suit & Tie (Firebeatz Remix)

Justin Timberlake released his third studio album a few months back and not only was it amazing, but the remixes that have come along with it are as well. 'Suit & Tie', the lead single off the album has been remixed by many, but this is one of the ones that has really stuck out to me. Firebeatz, a DJ/Production duo hailing from the Netherlands debuted to the Dutch music scene in early 2008 and have made quite a name for themselves. This remix to 'Suit & Tie' is quite the banger, transforming the original into a dance-floor anthem! Enjoy
